The Origin Utensils baby spoon is a new, clean-sheet design made in the USA to heirloom-quality standards. Our patented design is optimized for comfortable feeding and holding, while using the safest material available – stainless steel. What’s different about our design? The edge and bowl of the spoon are round, smooth and highly polished. This is different than normal flatware, which has a stamped, rectangular edge. Why stainless steel? Our spoon is made from 316L stainless – the same material used for medical implants. It is non-reactive and does not impart taste to food. And unlike silicone and plastic spoons which may start as safe, stainless does not change after you put it in the dishwasher or scratch it. Finally, our spoon has been tested by an independent, CPSC approved lab as lead free (stainless steel is BPA free).
